Windows Blue build 9364 Shows A New Features
It’s looking likely that the build of Windows Blue (9364) that showed up on the web just moments ago is in fact real, as some people have reportedly been able to install the build and demonstrate some of the new features that accompany Blue. Previously we heard that there will be more customizable tile sizes in Windows Blue, and this appears to be true in this build; screenshots have appeared that show both smaller and even larger Live Tiles on the Start screen.

Amazon Take Over The Goodreads
Could Amazon be going social? The online retailer announced today that it has reached an agreement to acquire Goodreads, which bills itself as the world’s largest online community for book recommendations. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

Google Gmail New Compose Experience The Default
The new compose experience will roll out over the next few days. It looks like Google will still allow users to switch back to the old compose windows for a while, but it’s not clear for how long. A Google spokesperson told me that the company has not set a timeline for this.

Final Cut Pro X v10.0.3 includes a collection of groundbreaking new tools for editing multicam projects. Final Cut Pro X automatically syncs clips from your shoot using audio waveforms, time and date, or timecode to create a Multicam Clip with up to 64 angles of video, which can include mixed formats, frame sizes and frame rates.

CCleaner Version 3.28, Improved Windows 8 Compatibility
Piriform have updated their popular CCleaner to version 3.28 and they announce that this will be the last version 3 release, and that version 4.0 is coming soon! Included in version 3.28 is improved Windows 8 compatibility, cleaning for Windows Log Files, but improved memory usage and performance on Windows 7.

Firefox OS New Alternative For Smartphones
The new Firefox OS was able to capture some of the spotlight at this year’s Mobile World Congress. Mozilla held a press conference highlighting its Firefox OS and also outlining their vision for the future. The question is whether a Firefox OS, or any other for that matter, would be able to compete with mobile giants iOS and Android.

Nokia has officially made the Windows Phone 7.8 update for the Nokia Lumia 505, 510, 610, 710, 800, and 900 available for download. Remember that this update, apparently, is not Windows Phone 8 but will pretty much be like Windows Phone 8.

Chrome 25 Is Available For Download
Google has promoted Chrome 25 to the stable world and is now available for download. One of the things they have added into this version of Chrome is Voice recognition support to web apps. This is something I don’t really use but for some, this is great news. The thing I like is the “No more silent extension installs”.
