The IOS originally released on 2007 with the original iPhone at the Macworld Confrence & Expo. The apps store soon followed in July 2008. The iPad released in 2010, instantly came with access to the app store.
As 22 January 2011, App Store had over 10 billions downloads. Apple refuse to comment on how many of these have been for ipad.

Blackberry App World Fast Fact

in October 2008, RIM announced that they would be opening application store for their device. The store opened in March 2009 worked in conjunction Paypal.
App world originally called the Blackberry application storefront(Catchy).
The Blackberry Playbook was first released in April 2011 to lackluster review. A second major revision to the playbook OS is a scheduled for feburary 2012 release.
Playbook also support application designed by android os, this allows android based application to be sold and installed through app world.
Blackberry app world 3.1 allows user the ability to gift apps to others.,as well as request that someone else pay for the purchases.
The playbook is the only tablet device to meet the security standard of U.S federal government agencies, as well as those of Australian government.

How To Download AppSync For iOS 5 To Install Cracked Apps On iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad

I also love the monthly calendar view for getting an overview of your tasks for the coming weeks. Since Awesome Note has so many features, it can take some time to figure out how everything works. Overall rating: 5 out of 5 stars.

2. 2Do

Some people may balk at the price tag, but the 2Do list app (US$6.99) is packed with features and has a ton of functionality. You can assign actions to each task — like phone calls or emails — and the app syncs with your contact list. The tabbed interface is easy to navigate, and 2Do also brings voice recordings, alerts, Twitter integration, and a wide array of customizable features. It can be a bit confusing to use at first, but the 2Do list app for iPhone is a clear winner. Overall rating: 5 out of 5 stars.

3. Wunderlist Task Manager

Wunderlist (Free) is a stylish to do list app that syncs with a corresponding desktop client for Macs and PCs. Outstanding tasks are clearly noted, and priority items can be starred for easy access later. Although a monthly calendar view would be helpful, the Wunderlist app displays upcoming tasks in various ways. Overall rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars.

4. ToodleDo

The ToodleDo app (US$2.99) has a simple interface that makes it easy to add new tasks to your to do list. For each task, you can set priorities and due dates, assign it to folder, schedule reminders, and more. Folders are especially helpful for keeping tasks organized. However, the ToodleDo list app has a confusing priority system, and I wish it would set app badges as a default. Overall rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars.

5. TeuxDeux

The TeuxDeux app ($2.99) is an iPhone-specific version of the web app of the same name. Its stylish, spare interface places emphasis squarely on your to-dos, but doesn’t offer many features besides syncing with the web app and rearranging items. Its productivity focus will be perfect for some users, but others will require more features to get things done. Overall rating: 3 out of 5 stars.

6. Orchestra

Orchestra (free) is a decent to-do list app for an individual. Put it in the hands of a group, though, and it becomes something special. That’s because Orchestra allows you to assign tasks to anyone with an email address or phone number (ideally they’ll also have the Orchestra app, but it’s not required). Users can see who’s taken on what task, when they’ve done it, and chat about it all via the app. While it’s missing some important features, and takes an unorthodox approach to deadlines, some people will love it. Overall rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars.

7. Air To-Do

Air To-Do (US$1.99) is very easy to use, and I love that the app is integrated with Facebook, Twitter, and email. However, the Air To-Do list app is much simpler than its competitors. You can only create one to do list (although with unlimited tasks), so Air To-Do is worth a look if you only have a few tasks to complete each day. Overall rating: 3 out of 5 stars.

Female Online Gamers Have More Sex

Gamers rejoice: female online gamers are more social, happy, sexually and physically active than their non-gaming counterparts, according to a Harris Interactive survey of 2,000 U.S. adults. Gaming is a stress reliever for most of these women (61%), while 16% game online to connect with others.

This GameHouse infographic, first published in VentureBeat, compares the characteristics of women who game online and those who don’t. The study found that 55% of online gamers are women and 45% are men, although the infographic only details findings about women.

Female online gamers are more social than their non-gaming counterparts. Forty-one percent socialize at least once each day in person compared to 31% of non-gamers. They’re also more active on social networks, with 88% of gamers socializing online at least once each day compared to 71% of non-gamers.

More than half of all gaming women (64%) are either married or live with a partner. Fifty-seven percent have sex and 38% have sex at least once a week. Non-gaming women are less sexually active, as 52% have sex and 34% have sex at least once a week.

Thirty-eight percent of female gamers, compared to 28% of non-gamers, have children under the age of 18. The most popular time of day for gaming is between 8 p.m. and 11:59 p.m., possibly after many moms have put their children to sleep.

Tablet Owners Define New Category of Shoppers

The increasing number of tablet owners in the U.S. is changing the way people shop from in-store to online — 20% of all mobile e-commerce sales now come from tablets and 60% of tablet owners have purchased goods using a tablet.

Tablet users spend an average of one hour and 35 minutes on their devices and typically spend 10-20% more on purchases than shoppers without tablets. By 2016, mobile commerce is expected to increase to $31 billion in the U.S. – a tremendous jump from only $3 billion in 2010.

Since tapping away on a tablet in the comfort of your home helps beat long lines and crowded department stores, it’s no surprise that tablet owners are willing to spend more time and money shopping online.

Foursquare Revamps Website To Support Large-Screened iPad Like Devices

Foursquare initially found its niche with the location-based ‘check-in’ model, allowing users to see friends’ hunts, whilst sharing their own locations and places visited. Facebook, with all its might and hundreds of millions of active users, tried and failed with its own integrated version, which has since been scrapped.

Nowadays, Foursquare packs a whole bunch of other great social features, and despite only having 15 million or so users – comparatively minute versus other prominent social networks – it seems to be growing in popularity at a steady pace.

Placing a strong emphasis on helping users discover activities occurring in their locale, Foursquare just updated its website, which is now optimized for use on large screen devices such as laptops, netbooks and tablet devices like the iPad.

It now pinpoints a user’s location, incorporating color coding making it easy to identify interesting goings-on around said area. Trending places are in a yellow font, places on a user’s Foursquare Lists are green, popular places blue, and finally, any places offering Specials or certain limited offers are in orange.

Another useful feature is time-based suggestions. When looking for somewhere to eat, there are many applications to choose from which show location, parking, opening hours and ratings. Taking a different approach, Foursquare will smartly source restaurants relevant to the current time. So if it’s 9am, they’ll point you to a cafe or coffee shop as opposed to a steakhouse, and vice-versa. It’s not purely limited to dining, and will, using initiative, decide which activities are more suited for, say, early in the day, and those that are more often than not afternoon or evening activities.

Close to one million people check Foursquare’s site out on a daily basis, so images and tips will be sharper and more informative.

Trying to deviate somewhat from its very smartphone-orientated service, Foursquare appears to be making that ‘big push’ in order to stand up and be counted. Near-on every web-based company would like a slice of the social pie, and having seen off Facebook, it’s time that Foursquare now went on the offensive – which it appears to be doing.

How to Install Cracked Apps (.IPA Files) on iPad or iPhone

Step 1: Jailbreak iPad

Step 2: Run Cydia on your iPad

Step 3: In Cydia, go to “Manage” tab and tap on “Sources”

Step 4: Hit the “Edit” button, then tap “Add”

Step 5: Enter http://cydia.hackulo.us and hit “Add Source”

Now a warning box will appear saying:

This repository has been reported by the community to be illegally redistributing copyrighted works. We cannot stop you from using it but we can (and do) recommend moral introspection and caution.

Upgrade To IOS5 In Five Steps

We’ve been putting the iOS 5 beta through its paces for the past few months. But today, the final release is available to all. Any device capable of running iOS 4 is eligible for an upgrade to iOS 5 — including the iPhone 3GS and third-generation iPod Touch.

If you’ve been waiting for improved notifications and iMessage goodness, this is your chance to see what you’ve been missing. But more important, here’s how to make your upgrade go smoothly the first time.

1. Software Update

Before you begin, run software update on either your Mac or Windows PC. You’ll need iTunes version 10.5 to make the latest iOS magic happen, and the upgrade won’t work without it. While you’re at it, feel free to update your apps as well. While you can certainly do so post-upgrade, you’ll avoid any unforeseen compatibility problems by doing it before.

2. Make a Backup

To start, you’ll want to perform a manual backup of your current iOS device. If you follow just one of our suggestions, it better be this. Should something go wrong during the upgrade process, you’ll have a backup of settings and files to fall back on in a pinch.

Of course, the backup process is a long one to begin with, but there are ways to decrease the amount of time it takes. Pictures and videos stored in your camera roll are often the biggest culprits, so feel free to transfer these yourself. Removing particularly large files or unneeded apps beforehand is another smart practice. But keep in mind there’s only so much you can do. From Safari browsing history to MMS attachements, iTunes simply has a lot of data to back up. Best let this process complete while you’re out to lunch.

Finally, phone calls and text messages have the nasty habit of interrupting lengthy backups just as they near completion. To prevent upgrade issues and untimely snags, try placing your device in Airplane mode before you begin. Or better yet, remove your SIM card completely, if possible.

3. Encrypt Your Backup

You’ll also have the ability to encrypt your iOS backup at this time. This option is visible under the “Backup” header when your device is plugged into iTunes. While an encrypted backup does take longer, you get the added benefit of having your various account and app passwords backed up as well. This might be useful for some, as you won’t have to re-enter your passwords after your device has been restored.

Also, it’s worth pointing out that backups can build up over time — and they do take up a considerable amount of space. If you want to remove past archives of your old iOS devices, and free up a couple gigabytes of space, you can find them in the following folder:

Mac: /Users/Tested/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/

Windows: C:\Users\Tested\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup

4. Save Your Hashes

This next step is crucial for jailbreak users. If you haven’t already, back up your blobs. If you have no clue what that means, read this post from the iPhone Dev-Team. Simply put, blobs, or signature hashes, allow iOS users to downgrade to previous firmware versions where jailbreaking is still possible. However, it’s suspected this method of downgrading will no longer be possible post-iOS 5.

In other words, if you’re interested in jail breaking, or retaining the ability to downgrade to iOS 4, download a copy of TinyUmbrella and backup your blobs.

5. Update to iOS 5

Finally, there is the iOS 5 upgrade process itself. In most cases, the actual install should be as simple as connecting your device and allowing iTunes to do its thing. This will perform what’s called an in-place upgrade to iOS 5 — in other words, preserving all your file, settings and content as is. However, you also have the option of performing a restore upgrade. This route will wipe your device clean, allowing you to start your iOS 5 experience from scratch.

Of course, you can also do this process manually as well. By clicking Upgrade or Restore with the Option key held down (or ctrl for Windows users), you have the option of selecting a firmware file (*.ipsw) of your choosing. In most cases this won’t be necessary, but it can be useful for performing firmware updates from multiple computers without having to download iOS 5 on each.

How To Install .deb File On Your iphone, Ipod And Ipad

3 Methods to install a .deb file into your iDevice [iPhone (3G/3Gs/4), iPod touch (3G/4G), iPad and iPad 2]. Choose the easier for you :

1. AutoInstallation [Recommended]

Download iFunbox for Windows , or Cyberduck for MacOS.
Run iFunbox and connect your iDevice (iPhone, iPod, iPad or iPad 2)
iFunBox will show your device contents, Now navigate to var/root/Media/
Create the folder Cydia/AutoInstall (if not already created)
Move .deb file from your desktop to var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall
Reboot your iDevice.

2. Install with iFile [Recommended]

Requirements:

iOS 4: iFile and Safari Download Manager required

iOS 5: iFile only required

Run Safari and type the address which contains the .deb file.
Click on the link of the .deb file >> Download/
After finishing download, click on the file in the dowloaded files list >> Open with iFile >> Installer
You ‘re done with it.

3. Install With Mobile Terminal

Requirement :

Mobile Terminal
Open SSH

“Steps 2 and 3 are only if you never installed a .deb file with this method”

Download the .deb file you want (example : LockInfo)
Start Cydia, go to “Search”, type “Mobile Terminal” and install it.
Repeat step 2 for “OpenSSH”
Start “Mobile Terminal”.
Type the following commands , then reboot:

alpine (press return) /!\ You won’t see the typed password then don’t worry /!\

What is iCloud? iCloud is like a hard drive through the internet. iCloud is arriving this fall. It is accessible from your iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, Mac or PC. It gives all your devices instant access to your music, movies, photos, apps, and more. iCloud automatically keeps all your devices up to date. Once you update your iOS devices to iOS 5, your apps become integrated with iCloud and all your content is kept up to date. When you sign up for iCloud, you are given 5GB of free storage, which is a lot when your purchases from iTunes don’t take up any space. Mainly your mail, documents, Camera Roll, account information, settings and other app data are the only things taking up space.

With iCloud, you can purchase music from iTunes and iCloud automatically stores it and pushes it onto your other devices, so it’s automatically on all your devices as long as they are connected over Wi-Fi or 3G. You don’t even have to sync your devices. You can also look through your purchase history and download any of your past purchases onto your devices. iTunes Match is another option if you have a lot of songs you didn’t purchase from the iTunes store. For just $24.99 a year, iTunes will scan and determine which songs you have and will match it automatically with the song in iTunes, which will be added to your iCloud library. You have to upload the songs that iTunes can’t find a match for. Even if the original copy of the song is low quality, iTunes Match lets you play it at 256-Kbps iTunes Plus quality.

Whenever you take a photo with your iOS device or import a photo onto your Mac or PC, it is automatically stored on iCloud and pushed to all your devices, as long as there is Wi-Fi. When new photos are pushed onto your iOS devices, only the last 1000 photos will appear on your Photo Stream, but if you want to make sure the photo is saved on your iOS device, you can save it from your Photo Stream to one of your photo albums. Your Mac or PC automatically keeps all your photos.

Certain apps, like Apple iWork apps, make it possible for you make documents, presentations, and other documents, but now with iCloud, your apps can store that information in iCloud and that gives you access to your documents with whichever device.

With iCloud, all the apps you download can be automatically pushed to all your devices. Backup is convenient and seems completely effortless because it backs up only the changes you made, so it is quick and efficient. iCloud Backup takes care of everything when you need to restore your device, just connect your device to Wi-Fi and enter your Apple ID and password.

iCloud also stores your email, calendars, and contacts and also automatically pushes them to all your devices.
