Review : HTC Salsa

Facebook With A ouch Of Salsa

Okay not so really. But the HTC Salsa is one of two HTC Phone that have integrated support for Facebook and features an easy access Facebook button so that users only need press once to get their favorite social networking site.

1. Simple As They Go

  • As with most HTC phone, the HTC Salsa is a smartphone that features full touch screen interface. The good thing is, despite being an admittedly rather gimmicky phone, the Salsa features solid 3.4-Inch LCD Display that perform well indoors, but not so much outdoors. The bottom of the screen houses HTC’s standard touch-sensitive shortcut icon, including the home. As an additional extra however, beneath the button is much-talked about Facebook button that leads the user directly to their Facebook homepage.
  • At the sides are the standard volume control, a micro USB charging port and at the top, the power button and headphone port.At the back of the Salsa has 5-Megapixel camera with single LED flash that can take pictures and automatically upload them to your Facebook account. In terms of software, the salsa rocks Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system with Sense UI 2.1 as the skin.

2. Facebook On The Go
  • The HTC Salsa function pretty much like every other HTC phone you have seen and used. It is capable of playing back the standard media types, record videos (in 3gp, granted) and has support 3G and WIFI. All cookie-cutter functionality  you might say, save for one.
3. Facebook
  • Now you might argue that the standard Android Facebook app is good enough to be used for away-from-computer social networking needs, but the salsa gives you something that no other app has of yet, the Facebook Chat Function. Now with the phone, not only you update your Facebook status with ease, you can also communicate with your Facebook friends using the built-in chat function that was previously only available on desktop version. It works very well too as you can communicate with multiple friends at once., though there is no multi-user chat features available.
Review : HTC Salsa
  • With its relatively affordable price line, if you’re facebook addict, ane need a phone satisfy those social networking needs away from the computer, its definitely a phone to consider.

Review : HTC ChaCha

Review : HTC ChaCha

Htc is reowned smartphone manufacturer which has carved itself out as a strong android player, with its Android base phone layered with proprietary HTC Sense. The HTC Cha Cha is no different and it is aimed at the social networking generation, people who update photos and tibits of their lives on Facebook or Twitter. With both touchscreen and physical QWERTY keyboard, it pleases those who cant live without one or the other. Here we look at the form, the function and why the ChaCha is set to dance into the hearts of social media addicts.

1. Uniquely Shaped

  • Instead of candy-bar shaped that most smartphone have nowadays. The HTC ChaCha has curveture at the mi-section which give it natural curve to position the phone along your face. Made with high quality plastic and metal, he phone feel sturdy and robust. Keys are place strategically with comfortable spacing between them and the height of the keys are just right for an ergonomic typing experience. There is now awkwardness with using both the touchscreen nad keyboard as they complement each other.
Review : HTC ChaCha 2. Crowd Pulling Factor
  • The star attraction of the HTC ChaCha is the dedicated Facebook button which is designed for you to update your status just pressing a button. Lets say you have something interesting  you want to show your friend. You can instantly take a photo and upload it to Facebook with the special Facebook button. Its really convenient and easy and HTC has made it easier to connect to your friend with widget and also friend stream which aggregates your contact from facebook and your facebook. What i found annoying is that when i sign into my facebook account, its automatically sets my facebook chat status to online without notification that it has done so/ So user need to be aware  and keep setting it to offline status instead ,if they so choose so.
3. Fun Features
  • I like the camera features on the HTC ChaCha as it has different filters and effects to beautify and personalize your shots. For as 5-Megapixels camera with auto focus and LED flash, the ChaCha takes decent shots which are sufficient enough social networking sites. If you are feeling a little bit vain use the front-facing camera and the Mirror apps to look at your reflection before you take photo.
4. Long Lasting
  • You don’t have to worry about the juice running out when you need to update your friend about the awesome tom yum noodles you had for a dinner. Battery life on the HTC ChaCha is amazingly long-lasting and with average usage,it can last for more day. IMHO, it is screen that maintain the battery life as i found the larger screen smartphone having shorter battery life.
